I can’t believe we’ve been doing the Master Key Experience for almost 6 months, and we are nearing the end. I have learned so much. It’s been incredible. I have also developed many wonderful friendships and relationships.
We learned this week that Og Mandino was once an insurance salesman who collected fees from people for the insurance company. He was struggling and came to the point of wanting to commit suicide. But before he did that, he was in the library and came across some books on success, motivation and self improvement. He went to libraries in many different cities. He reads hundreds of books on success. He was able to eventually overcome his alcoholism. The book that eventually changed his life was Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude by W. Clement Stone and Napoleon Hill. Stone became a mentor to Mandino, who later became very successful writer and speaker. I love these stories of people who came to the very bottom and rose to the top.
We learned in this week’s lesson that your greatest success will come when you are able to assist others. Those who help others the most are the most successful. I hosted an event a few years ago. One of the speakers asked who had helped at least one person make 6 figures in a year. Only 2 hands went up. The 2 people who raised their hands turned out to be the two people who made the most people in the entire room. That was proof that the more you help others succeed, the more success you will have.
And finally don’t let fear get the best of you, because it leads to a poverty consciousness. What you focus on expands, so focus instead on abundant thoughts and get rid of the negative, fearful ones.
The Dalai Lama said, “If you help with sincere motivation and sincere concern, that will bring you more fortune, more friends, more smiles, and more success.” Great blog.
Thank you!
