Master Key Experience Week 25

We are getting near the end of the Master Key Experience.  I have learned so much from Mark J. and Davene and from the rest of MKE team.  The guides have been so wonderful and helpful. I really enjoy our mastermind group, and learn so much from them during our calls. They gave us a ton of value and gave us everything they had, and held nothing back.

I have become a lot more productive, and I have been doing a lot less multi-tasking, which actually makes you less productive, and am learning to focus more on doing one thing at a time.

I have learned to get more done in a shorter period of time, and have learned how much doing little things and keeping my promises for each service I do each week helps to influence my subconscious mind for success.  When you change your habits and what you feed your subconscious mind, you can definitely change your life for the better. It’s not pure luck but implementing a system and habits consistently and working on subby constantly.  I have seen great changes over the last 6 months because of implementing what was taught to me.

I am very grateful to Mark J, the Fabulous Davene and all the wonderful guides for their help.

Master Key Experience Week 24

I can’t believe we’ve been doing the Master Key Experience for almost 6 months, and we are nearing the end.  I have learned so much. It’s been incredible. I have also developed many wonderful friendships and relationships.

We learned this week that Og Mandino was once an insurance salesman who collected fees from people for the insurance company.   He was struggling and came to the point of wanting to commit suicide. But before he did that, he was in the library and came across some books on success, motivation and self improvement.  He went to libraries in many different cities. He reads hundreds of books on success. He was able to eventually overcome his alcoholism. The book that eventually changed his life was Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude by W. Clement Stone and Napoleon Hill.  Stone became a mentor to Mandino, who later became very successful writer and speaker. I love these stories of people who came to the very bottom and rose to the top.

We learned in this week’s lesson that your greatest success will come when you are able to assist others.  Those who help others the most are the most successful. I hosted an event a few years ago. One of the speakers asked who had helped at least one person make 6 figures in a year.  Only 2 hands went up. The 2 people who raised their hands turned out to be the two people who made the most people in the entire room. That was proof that the more you help others succeed, the more success you will have.

And finally don’t let fear get the best of you, because it leads to a poverty consciousness. What you focus on expands, so focus instead on abundant thoughts and get rid of the negative, fearful ones.

Master Key Experience Week 23

We focused on this week on how great we are and can be.

We are encouraged to make the most out of our lives, and then we’ll be able to help more people out.

We were reminded of the dangers of multitasking this week.  Multitasking is doing half as much you can in twice the amount of time it should normally take.  And to top it all off, you will do it only half as well. When we multitask, we are far less productive and get a lot less done than when we do things one at a time.  There is so much temptation to multitask. I’ve been learning to focus more on one thing at a time. I am not completely over multitasking, but I am getting there.

We also should not let other people decide the way we should be.  Too often we live the life others want us to do, and it makes us miserable.  And we don’t accomplish the things we truly desire.

We learned that to become great, our actions must reflect our thoughts.  Unfortunately, too many people never take actions on their thoughts, and nothing happens.  We need to become externally what we want to be, and that comes about by actions. I remember the saying that the cemetery is the richest place in the world, because it’s filled with people who did not take action on their thoughts, and they never became the person they wanted to be.  That is so sad.

I refused to allow that to happen to me.

Master Key Experience Week 22

This week we started Scroll VI in the Greatest Salesman in the World.  This chapter talks about controlling our emotions and being the master of our emotions.   Og Mandino writes in Scroll VI, “Weak is he who permits his thoughts to control his actions; strong is he who forces his actions to control his thoughts.”  That is very true. That reminds me of what Tony Robbins taught us at his Unleash the Power Within several years back. He taught us to control out emotions and thoughts by our actions, and it definitely worked.

Og teaches us that whatever personality and mood we wake up with, we can definitely control and change to something better.

Haanel teaches us in lesson 21 of the Master Key Exerience that each thought makes an impression in our mind, and each impression is a seed that will go into the subconscious to form a tendency.  The tendency will be to attract similar thoughts. If those thoughts contain disease germs, then the harvest will contain weakness, decay failure, sickness and other bad stuff. What we think and create leads to our harvest, so we need to focus on our thoughts and watch them and guide to give us the harvest we truly desire.

If we change our thoughts, we will change the tendencies, then the harvest and finally our lives.

Master Key Experience Week 21

We learned from lesson 21 in the Master Key Experience that large ideas have a tendency to remove or eliminate smaller ideas.  Thus, we should have ideas large enough to destroy or counteract small ideas or tendencies. This will also help us become conscious of a larger world of thought, which increases our mental capacity and helps us achieve something of greater value.

This also reminds me of the book “The Magic of Thinking Big” by David Schwarz which is an awesome read.  Schwarz also discusses the advantage of thinking big and having large ideas.

Jorge Paulo Lemann says “I always say, ‘To have a big dream requires the same effort as having a small dream. Dream big!’”

We also learn that if we want a change in our conditions, we will have to change our thoughts.  If we want to change our outer world, then it’s important to change our inner world. It’s not easy to change our inner world, but with work we can definitely change our mental attitude and our inner world, which will lead to a better life.

Master Key Experience Week 20

We went over the Hedgehog Principle and John Wooden Pyramid of Success in week 20 of the Master Key Experience.

The Hedgehog Principle is based on a Greek parable that discusses that the fox knows many little things, while the hedgehog knows one big things.  The people who build bigger and better companies and those who are successful are usually hedgehogs. We need to be focused people instead of Renaissance men, who are simply jacks of all trades and masters of nothing.

Wooden’s pyramidsrepresents 15 fundamental values as well as 10 supporting attributes that Wooden believed were vital for a person to perform at the highest level he was capable of.  Wooden used his pyramid of success for himself, his players and his staff. Each value has a role and place in the pyramid, and when acted upon, will bring success to the person

Here is what the Rules of Success Pyramid looks like!

I love this quote:

Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of knowing you did your best to become the best that you are capable of being.” -John Wooden

I think using Wooden’s Pyramid is very useful in becoming a more successful person.

Master Key Experience Week 19

I am continuing going over Scroll V, and it is sinking in more and more each day to make the most of each day, not waste time, and not procrastinate.  Many people don’t realize how precious money is, and often obsess over money. What they don’t realize is what once time is gone, you can’t get it back.  If you lose money, you can always make more money and get it back. That does not apply to time.

I have been focusing more on gratitude and the things I am grateful for.  I write down 3 things each day I am grateful for and go over them. Your perspective about things totally shifts when you are full of gratitude.  I can see why all the very successful entrepreneurs talk about the need to have an attitude of gratitude if you want to be successful.

Our thoughts guide so much of our lives.  If our thoughts are strong, powerful and positive, it will reflect in our lives and our health and success.  If our thoughts are weak and negative, it will have more fear, nervousness and worry, and it will have an adverse effect on our health.

We need to be vigilant of the thoughts we have daily, as well as all the self talk going through our mind.  We think up to 50,000 thoughts a day, and much of that is negative, and we are usually not aware of it. That is why we often sabotage ourselves.  We need to change the self-talk we have with ourselves, and we will see an incredible change with our lives.

Master Key Experience Week 17 – HJ

It has been about 4 months since we started the Master Key Experience.  As each goes on, everything starts to make more sense. It kind of reminds me when the head of sports teams tell their fans, “Trust the process,” of a coach tells a player he’s coaching, “Trust the process.”  It does not make a whole lot of sense in the beginning, but as time goes on, all the pieces start to fit, and things make more sense.

A lot of times we will not do the things our mentors or coaches tell us to do out of ego or out of laziness, and that is too our detriment.  We let ego stop us from having the life we so badly desire, and we often rob ourselves of the success we desire because we let ego get in the way.  We have to always be students and always be learning, and learn from those who have done what we want to do.

We discussed the hero’s journey this week.  When we watch a movie, we find the main character often runs into difficulties.  We become engaged in the troubles and problems they find themselves in and drawn into their story.  The main character, or protagonist, have a big problem or struggle and they take it on. They decide to become the hero or victor of their journey.  To become the hero of your own journey is the path of the Hero’s journey.

One great example of someone who encompasses the Hero’s Journey is Aimee Mullins. Aimee Mullins gave an incredible Ted Talk, and I will let her tell you in her words what she has done with her life, despite having both of her legs amputated.

I think you will definitely enjoy and learn a lot from Aimee Mullins talk.

I am learning so much each week, and can’t wait for next week’s lesson.

Master Key Experience Week 17

This week Haanel teaches us the importance of intuition.  He tells us that it often comes with a suddenness that if often startling.  It can be developed and cultivated, and we need to recognize and appreciate intuition.  If we don’t give our intuition a grand and royal, he may come again, but after a while, we may not see our intuition as much if its ignored. We need to pay more attention to our intuition and accept it.

I have found that with my going back to regular meditation, it has helped with my intuition, which has gotten better and has given me more ideas and helped me be more creative.

I have noticed that when I go against my gut, my intuition, I often regret it.  When I go with my gut feeling, I am usually correct. This lesson has definitely hit home with me.

Haanel teaches “Always concentrate on the ideal as an already existing fact”.  This is very powerful. It reminds of what Jack Canfield teaches, “Act As If”.  Basically if you act as if you are successful or your are living the life you desire, and you do it with emotion, this really greatly influences the subconscious mind.  Focus on living your deal and with emotion, and you are more likely to achieve that ideal.

Master Key Experience Week 15

Silence is very important if you want to gain insight.  That is one reason it’s encouraged in religion. You are more likely to hear what God is saying to you when you are in silence.  When you have all kinds of noises and distractions, you can’t really hear.

Meditation is something that allows me to get great insight.  Doing 15 minutes a day is very powerful, and I find I get a lot insights and creative ideas from meditation.

We reap what we so.

We can keep thinking lack if we want to attract abundance.  We have to think abundance. Where your thoughts go, energy flow.  We also have to think about the exact language and phrases we use, because it makes a big difference.

We also learned that no matter how hard we may try, we can not from the pictures that we constantly photograph in our mind.  When we use words that are not for our benefit, there will be pictures of erroneous conceptions that will go through our mind.  That is why it’s very important to use your words carefully.

We have to remember that the subconscious can not reason.  It accepts everything we feed it. If you put garbage in, you will get garbage out.  If you put good stuff in, you will get good stuff. It’s like a computer you program.  You have to make sure that you program your subconscious by feeding it things that will be beneficial.  When you do that, your life will change for the better.
